Kids & Teen Classes
Special workshops just for kids ages 7-11
and teens ages 12-17!
In this two-day workshop, kids will learn how to turn their sewing skills into their very own mini handmade business! We’ll spend two afternoons sewing fun, market-friendly projects while learning how to prepare handmade items to sell.
Kids will also go home with instructions, project ideas, and inspiration to keep sewing between classes, so they can build up their own collection of handmade goods to bring to the market! They can make as much or as little as they’d like outside of class and put their own creative spin on what they sell!
Then comes the exciting part: on November 22, our young makers will get their own spot at a special kids’ handmade market at Gravel & Grind in downtown Frederick, where they can sell what they’ve created to real customers! Let’s build up our young entrepreneurs!
Workshop Dates:
Sunday, September 27 | 2–4 p.m.
Sunday, November 1 | 2–4 p.m.
