Join us for a fun evening of creative back-to-school sewing. Kids will use fabric, felt, and simple sewing techniques to make a few custom school supplies items they can actually use! This hands-on workshop is designed for beginners and experienced young sewists alike.
Projects may include:
Fabric keychains
Pencil rolls or pouches
Book sleeves or covers
Backpack tags or bookmarks
All materials are provided, but students are welcome to bring any favorite fabric scraps or trims to use.
Ages: 7–12 recommended
Skill level: No prior experience necessary. We’ll go over sewing basics at the beginning of class.
Becky Jane studied pattern making and design at Apparel and Arts in San Francisco, and has been teaching sewing and pattern drafting for 10+ years. She’s also the owner of By Becky Jane where she creates and sells custom apparel and accessories.
