2-night Class:
Tues. & Weds., October 6 & 7 | 6–8 p.m.
Have a favorite pair of PJ or simple elastic waist pants you wish you could recreate again and again? In this two-night workshop, you’ll learn how to make a sewing pattern from an existing pair of pants without taking them apart, then use your new pattern to sew a brand-new pair!
We’ll walk through tracing and drafting your pattern, adding seam allowances, cutting your fabric, and constructing your new pants, including an elastic waistband and finished hems. You’ll leave with a finished pair of pants and a reusable pattern you can make again!
All tools and materials include, however students will need to bring a simple pair of pants they’d like to clone. We will have fabric for you to use, but you’re welcome to bring 3 yards of your favorite cozy flannel or cotton if you prefer!
Ages 16+
Bella is a self-taught sewist from downtown Frederick who loves all things fashion. She taught herself to sew by copying clothes from her own closet, and enjoys experimenting with drafting, draping, embroidery, and turning the ideas in her head into clothes she can wear!
