Learn the timeless art of hand embroidery in this beginner-friendly workshop. Whether you've never picked up a needle before or are looking to refresh your skills, this class will introduce you to the basic tools and techniques needed to get started.
Students will learn several foundational embroidery stitches, including back stitch, satin stitch, and French knots, while creating a beautiful sampler to take home. We'll discuss materials, transferring designs, choosing thread, and tips for continuing your embroidery journey at home.
All supplies are included, including an embroidery hoop, fabric, embroidery floss, needles, and sampler pattern. You'll leave with your completed sampler, a hoop, and the confidence to continue stitching on your own.
No experience necessary.
Becky Jane studied pattern making and design at Apparel and Arts in San Francisco, and has been teaching sewing and pattern drafting for 10+ years. She’s also the owner of By Becky Jane where she creates and sells custom apparel and accessories.
