Introduction to Hand Embroidery: Part 2
Friday, November 6 | 6-8:30 p.m.
Continue building your embroidery skills with six new stitches!
Ready to keep stitching? This beginner-friendly class builds on the techniques from Intro to Embroidery: Part 1 and introduces six more stitches that will give you even more ways to create flowers, leaves, stems, and decorative details.
We'll learn how to make:
Chain stitch
Split stitch
Fern stitch
Fishbone stitch
Wagon wheel / woven rose
Couching
We'll practice each stitch together and explore how different stitches can be combined to create botanical designs and little embroidered illustrations.
You don't need to be an embroidery expert—or even have taken Part 1—to join us. We'll go step-by-step, and you'll have plenty of time to practice and experiment with your stitches.
No experience necessary.
Becky Jane studied pattern making and design at Apparel and Arts in San Francisco, and has been teaching sewing and pattern drafting for 10+ years. She’s also the owner of By Becky Jane where she creates and sells custom apparel and accessories.
