In this hands-on sewing workshop, you’ll learn how to hem clothing with confidence. We’ll cover the basics of measuring and marking, choosing the right hemming method for different fabrics, and sewing clean, durable hems you’ll be proud of. You’ll see demonstrations and then jump right in with guided practice.
You’re encouraged to bring your own garments that need hemming. Pants, skirts, dresses, or anything else that’s been living in your “almost fits” pile are perfect. Whether you’re brand new to sewing or just want to sharpen a practical skill, this class is designed to meet you where you are and help you leave with real progress and new know-how.
Becky Jane studied pattern making and design at Apparel and Arts in San Francisco, and has been teaching sewing and pattern drafting for 10+ years. She’s also the owner of By Becky Jane where she creates and sells custom apparel and accessories.
