Breathe new life into your favorite clothes! You’ll learn practical repair techniques, including hand-stitching methods for both visible and invisible mends, and explore sashiko-inspired patching to create beautiful, durable repairs that add character to your garments.
You’ll leave with your very own mini zine filled with mending tips and inspiration, along with hand-stitched sashiko patches to use on future projects. Whether you’re new to mending or a seasoned stitcher, this workshop is a perfect way to embrace sustainability and creativity while giving your clothes a second chance.
Bring along any well-loved clothing in need of repair, and we’ll turn it into something wonderful together. If you don’t have anything, we have things for you to practice on!
Becky Jane studied pattern making and design at Apparel and Arts in San Francisco, and has been teaching sewing and pattern drafting for 10+ years. She’s also the owner of By Becky Jane where she creates and sells custom apparel and accessories.
