Is there a special place you'd like to bring to life in fabric? Make a mini map quilt (up to 12" square) of a place of significance to you in this four-week quiltmaking series. We will cover fabric selection and designing your map, tools and techniques for creating your quilt top, quilting, and finishing your mini map quilt with facing.
Options for map making will include hand embroidery, piecing and/or applique. You can choose to quilt your piece by hand or machine. A wide variety of solid-color fabric scraps will be provided, but if there are specific colors or prints or special/significant fabrics you want to include in your map quilt, you are welcome to bring those!
**Please bring a printed version of the map you want to make a quilt of to the first class meeting.
