Workshop Schedule
Friday: Pattern layout, cutting fabric and interfacing, preparing pockets and lining pieces
Saturday: Sewing main seams, attaching pockets, assembling lining, adding straps, and finishing touches
In this class you’ll learn:
How to read and use a bag pattern
Cutting and preparing multiple pocket options
Assembling a fully lined bag
Adding straps and reinforced seams
Professional finishing techniques for a polished tote
All fabric, interfacing, and supplies needed to complete your tote bag are included!
Skill Level: Intermediate beginners and up — great if you have basic sewing experience and want to level up with lining and bag construction techniques.
Becky Jane studied pattern making and design at Apparel and Arts in San Francisco, and has been teaching sewing and pattern drafting for 10+ years. She’s also the owner of By Becky Jane where she creates and sells custom apparel and accessories.
