Matchstick Quilted Valentines

$65.00

Monday, February 2 | 6-8 p.m.

If you love the art of snail mail, come join us for a fun evening making quilted valentines! We will intuitively sew together solid color fabric scraps (in any colors, not limited to pink and red!) and then learn to matchstick quilt them, a very dense machine quilting style with a modern and textured look. You’ll leave with at least one completed card, with materials and techniques to finish more.

You’ll learn:

  • Simple improv piecing techniques

  • How to machine quilt with matchstick quilting lines

  • Finishing tips for your quilted greeting cards (5 per person)

All materials are included.

Beginner-friendly, all skill levels welcome. Participants should be familiar with how to use a sewing machine. Ages 14+

Feel free to bring your own machine or use one of the studio machines!

Julia Triman is a quilter and quilting teacher fascinated with the creative process and the philosophy of creativity. She shares her quilts and creativity stories at quiltingjulia.com.
